Hello.
I'm considering setting up a system but haven't seen anyone mention capturing via a USB cable. My Panasonic only has USB out. Can one convert USB to Firewire or do video cards support both?

I'm not 100% sure about the specifics of this camera.

As long as you have a USB 2 port on your computer you should be good to go.

USB 1 was not quick enough for full video rate transfer, so firewire had to be used. Now that USB2 is around, that can be used instead of firewire, because it can transfer video data quickly enough.

As long as you're only going from your camcorder to the pc, all you should need is a PC with a USB 2 port, not a video card.
