DV500 plus and higher version

Hi,
I have been using pinnacle dv500 plus for couple of months and i need to buy a new video capture card and a similar software because the last computer was not mine.
I tried looking for the same software and apparently dv500 plus is not in market anymore. I need this for my research to capture a video and convert them to frame at 30frames/sec and the remaining post processing is done using matlab. Most important, i should be able to select parts with good quality from the video before converting it to frames.
Can anybody please suggest me softwares similar or higher version to DV500 plus?
