I did that acouple times it was really annoying. So I went out and bought a clear lense UV protector for only $7 at circuit city.
Its cheap so if it gets scratched I dont really care. Plus it filters out UV rays from the sun so your vids aren't so bright. Works pretty good.

first day i got my camera i was looking at the screen trying to record somthing i bought off some guy and i thought it was broke i took it all the way back to the guy just for him to tell me the lens cap was off
