| i own a panasonic pv gs15 and am running into am problem uploading video to my computer. i was told that i needed to purchase a firewire cable and i did, but everytime i go to use it, i get the windows new hardware installation procedure. i ultimately keep getting an error message: 'the file "61883.sys" on windows server cabinet is needed'. any thoughts on how to get around this? thanks in advance for your help. crd |

| Well, i hope you are using a modern OS like Windoze XP or Mac OS X. No installation is required and its juz plug and play. Otherwise, if you are on Windoze 98 or similar, you probably need a driver from panasonic. |

| I can only guess that your Windows system might be faulty (missing some system files). If you have the know-how, you should just do a system reinstallation. Else your best bet would be trying it out on a friend's PC or Mac. |
