I recently upgraded my computer to amd 64 bit and am now running Windows XP Professional X64 operating system. My video capture device is plug and play and works fine with a 32 bit system but it will now work with my new 64 bit system. Here is why. There are 8 *.dll files that come with Windows XP Home edition that load into "system32" and also load into "system32/dllcache" The problem is that XP proX64 does not have "system32/dllcache" so my programs that capture analog video from my vcr can not find a capture device. I have considered buying a new capture device but there are no assurances that any of them would work either because I can't find any on the internet that say they work with XP proX64. Does anyone know of a capture device or is using a capture device that runs on AMD 64 platform with XP proX64? If you do please email me at pahrumpsters@hotmail.com
