If this is the correct forum, need help here...

Church video setup produces S-VHS signal from its video switcher. I want to avoid recording to SVHS VTR and record immediatley to MPEG-2 to a stand alone hard drive or DVD recorder. I will then firewire or dvd playback on my laptop and edit on Pinnacle studio plus. Edited output is to burn to DVD. Any suggestions as to the record hardware fed from the switcher?

Thanks
