Hello this is my first time posting a question. I hope this really works. Please have patience, this is very long and i want to explain everything in details so that i dont miss anything that i have been doing.
I am working on a video from a DVD. My job is to re edit the video and add simple text animations that have simple fade in and fade out, and a chart animation. which i have been using after effects also.
First up, I had to extract the video from a DVD. I used Miraizon Cinematize to do so. Once i did this. It extracted the video as an Mpeg quick time file format.
Then i brought it in to final cut express2 to export it as a regular movie quicktime file with no compression. High quality as possible. All of this process took place on my apple mac i book G4.
Then to edit the movie, which im editing from a 720X480 size, i am working on my using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5. My text animations are done with After Effects 1.5. I exported each of the text animations as AVI with no compression at 29.97 fps.
Now, i have edited the video already, plus imported all text animations.
Then i exported my movie as a quicktime file, using sorenson 3 compression at 640X480 4:3 aspect ratio also de interlacing before i exported. Now when i play the movie the video is fine, but the text animations seem a bit jagged almost a bit pixelated. They are not crisp clean. So i tried not to de interlace the movie but to leave it at progressive play, and the text animations were crisp and clean. but the video had the combing effect which i know it has to do with this interlacing stuff. I am not too familiar with and how to work around with interlacing or de interlacing. I have basic knowledge of it and i want to know more. Also i will probably have to export it to DVD, which i tried to and i get this combing effect too. If someone can answer this asap. i would appreciate it. I am close to have to finish this off, so i decided to do this testing before finalizing this project. i believe the person wants the video for DVD playback, which they will be using DVD top set players, and they also want a video to project on screen from someones laptop.
Also since i made my text animations on AVI, i viewed them alone via windows media players, and the text are clean and sharp. Thank you to who ever responds to my messages. Please let me know via my email juarez418@yahoo.com or juarezstryfe@hotmail.com. thanks. |
