The idea was to shoot video of each golfer from behind and across; then play these short videos back in slow motion and normal speed while they were having their awards supper.
This was accomplished and the video was up and playing on a large screen within 15 minutes of leaving the course. The only PROBLEM was that some golf swings took far more time than others and when played back in slow motion; the audience would lose interest. As well; in attempting to capture just the "golf swing" we missed some completely.
The SOLUTION was a simple program change that allowed for ONLY the final 3 secs of the video (the swing) to be played in slow motion. With this fix; we could start recording when the golfers addressed the ball and turn off the recording on completion of the swing. From now on we won't miss any Swings.
This way each video plays followed by it's final 3 seconds in Slo-Mo.
The 180+ videos fit on 2 GigaByte USB sticks ($5 - $10 each). These sticks can be quickly loaded with the videos & software before they finished their meal. They just LOVED the show.

Check the above link; for 20 video clips from those 2 tournaments. The 360+ vids are being switched out daily. Along with a demo of the slo-mo and the advertising possibilities.
This method is extremely quick; because NO editing is required. Just off-load the video from the 2 camcorders (5 to 10 minutes). Catalogue the video to play Slo-mo and normal speed (mere seconds). Then start the replay. VERY timely. All golfers from the rank amateur to the seasoned pro; want to see their swing in Slo-Mo. Having hundreds of local golf swing videos playing continuously on the clubhouse lounge screen is far more interesting to the patrons.
When not videoing a Golf tournament. Put those camcorders to good use by CamCorderCaddying a round for 2 or 3 golfers. How easy that would be. The USBs will be loaded and they will be on their way. With all their putts, chips, drives and banter. How much fun that will be.

While showing those golf video clips after the supper; a number of golfers wanted to see their swing. But at the time we couldn't easily do that. They were just 2 video clips in among 180 or so. Now there is a SOLUTION.
By creating an extremely short video as each group approaches the Tee (maybe showing a whiteboard containing the flight# and player names?); the program will use that as a "group break point". That will now allow for the golfer to indicate which group they were in from the tournament sheet and we can replay their video and those of the rest of the players in that group. It will also enable us to play the videos random by group. For the Barrel racing it will randomly replay the video group for each racer. During this event we shut the camcorder off and immediately switch it back on after the horse and rider round each barrel. Randomly playing just part of the run wouldn't be the same.
Here is what a respondent from another Forum said:
this is an honest-to-God useful feature. I've often wished the shuffle function on music devices could be made to work this way. The reason is that I mainly listen to classical music. Much of that music is divided into movements, with each movement being a separate track. The movements themselves are not independent, however, and in sequence form the complete work. So I'd like to be able to say, for instance, "Play all my Beethoven pieces in a random order", and have Symphony #6 followed by Piano Concerto #5 rather than Symphony #6, movement II followed by Piano Concerto #5, movement I. |

You can never stop recording soon enough sometimes. But don't worry about profanities ruining the immediate video playback. With the PD/C option the last 3 seconds of video will never get played.
The Profanity Delay / Censor option.
Reasons to use this cool Video feature:
If someone you don't like goes by. Stop recording.
If you might get sued. Stop recording.
If someone says something nasty or threatening to you. Stop recording.
If you are videoing a Wild Wild party be ready to. Stop recording
.
Sometime later you can examine those final few seconds to see which videos goes to the XXX folder.
Wouldn't it be great if YouTube offered this feature. Then we could quickly send our unedited video. As long as we stop recording quickly. Come on YouTube do it for the Swampies.
Just as with the "golf" enhancement whereby the "start==" element changing to negative "-3000" allows for playing the last 3 secs (the swing) in slo-mo. A similar change to the "wait=-3" will play all but the final 3 seconds of a video. When they are acting bad; cut 'em off.
Catalog the video using "gf" and then change the resultant .txt file replacing every "photo " with "photo wait=-3 " So within minutes of offloading the video it's ready to play. Never see them last 3 seconds EVER.
