I am a high school football coach who is looking to purchase video editing software in order to edit game video and place it on DVD. I need advice on the best editing software for my needs. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I use Magix Movie Edit Pro 10. It's cheap (£40) and will do nicely for editing matches as it's really easy to use. You don't need to pay big money if all your wanting to do is edit a football match. Magix can do this and if you want to add effects it's got loads of those too!
Hope this helps man Very Happy

hey.

Not sure if you will ever read this. but a very good cheap editing program is Video Explosion Deluxe by Nova Development. you can do loads of stuff with it. its just like a big time editor but on a smaller scale [some features not as pro as the bigger ones]. you can even do blue/green screen effects! [try recording the team walking from a high angle on grass, then use chroma keying, aka blue/green screen effects, to remove the green grass. Then you will have the team walking on a pure black background. a perfect title shot!]

at the very least, zip on over to Nova Developments website if it still exists.

its cheap, really easy to use and will definately get the job done. [my old highschool teacher made a very powerful anti-bully video wich reached europ from north america with it].
