|
|
Hi there, this is my first ever video edit, made from footage taken one afternoon at the beach here in sunny Perth.
http://www.wheel-lights.com/sandboarding.htm
File is in wmv format
4.95Mb
2min 56sec long
The quality is not as good as the original because of compression, but is still pretty good. Comments invited - let me know what you think.
Cheers, Ian[/url] |

Welcome Ian and well done, very lovely video. I can feel you had a lot of fun sandboarding
Two suggestions:
1)why not embed the video into html page. personally i do not want to download the file before playing it most of the time.
2)maybe you can shoot/add more closeups
Just my 2 cents. |

Thanks for the comments. I use Adobe Premiere - I was first introduced to editing using this, and haven't really used anything else. I find it pretty easy and self-explanatory. |

Thanks for the suggestion - I have now done this, so the video can be watched within the webpage. I have also left a download link for anyone who wants to download the file and watch it later. Personally I like this as an option, as it is then possible to download videos while working, then watch them at leisure later.

....I can feel the sand in my teeth.....Nicely done!
Suggestion...More angles....High Low and maybe Riding with the camera!
I have one to submit, but it will need some rendering to a more viewer friendly format...I will link you to my site when it ready... |

Good suggestion, i was also going to say that, but its also good to play it safe sometimes. you see a lot of people wreck their cameras trying to get that perfect shot. however close up shots of the boarders [not boarding] would have been nice. maybe a close up of a board its self [with no rider] and well, definately angles. it dont have to be as extreme as riding with the cam [a camera falling in sand is bad] or a close up, but something as simple as standing at the top of the hill and watch them go down it or a side angle. You can even get the same person to go down the hill 3 times from 3 angles and cut them together later. having a slowed down shot of the group walking and carrying their boards would be cool too
On the upside, for your first video, it was awesome! and it looks hella fun boarding in shorts |
