I captured a two and a half minute music video with a usb web cam, a cheap piezoelectric microphone and Premiere 6. The resulting file was of good quality and was less than a meg in size. Later I used this file to experiment with Premiere editing and added a simple stick man animation to the video. When it had been exported to a new AVI file I was shocked to see that the size of the new file was six hundred megs. Next I will try exporting to different formats to see if I can find an acceptable balance between file size and quality.
