In addition, the PYRO BasicDV upgrades your computer to 1394 so you can use all the latest FireWire/1394 peripherals such as the PYRO Drive Kit, 1394 scanners, printers and even FireWire networking.

1394/FireWire lets you connect up to 63 devices to your computer and operate at speeds up to 400 Mb/sec, that’s 50 MB of data per second!
