Transition & 3D Transition

Transition

Transition is the way you change from one shot to another other than simple cut.

There are four types of transitions:

3D Transition

One shot gradually replaces another, one or both mapped onto the surface of a 3 dimension object. A typical 3D pattern transition is page turn.

You will find pre-defined 3D patterns in most video editing software. If your software allows you to control clips in 3 dimensions, you can create your own.
