Film & Video Montage

Originally French word. When you cut two shots together, a third meaning is created. Audience will get more messages than those two shots can give. This sequence is called a montage.

Montage is the foundation of traditional film/video editing. The same concept will also guide you in non-storytelling, illogical editing style.
